Under 10s Season Summary

4 years ago, By Saul Quirke

Three Tournaments: two Trophies and a runners up medal. 15 unbeaten games at more than 50 points a game... what a season!

I thought those that follow the fortunes of the U10s would like a quick summary of the season.

We entered three tournaments this season where we won two trophies and were runners up in another:

Manchester Tournament where we won the Plate competition

Anglo Welsh Tournament where we came runners up under completely different WRFU rules

Rochdale Tournament Winners

In the rest of a severely weather effected season we played 15 unbeaten games. We scored 152 tries (a massive 784 points averaging more than 50 points a game) and conceded 22.

If anyone out there fancies sponsoring us I guarantee you won’t find a more exciting, diverse team or better bunch of lads around. Two out of three regular seasons unbeaten, four trophies out of seven tournaments and runners up twice isn't a bad return. Throw your hat in with us and you won’t be disappointed, I have been privileged to watch them grow and develop…the sky is not the limit.

Where next?

Under 10s are joint winners of the Rochdale Tournament They played Manchester in the final which ended 0 - 0, then played an extra 6 minutes for a Golden Try but nothing could split the teams.
