Doggies V Bilton

Brownies Bulldogs got their first big W in the box when they beat Bilton 68-0 on Saturday afternoon. From the first minute the attitude was right and we managed to dominate the game for large periods after doing what we had the coaches have been asking for and what we have wanted to do in the past few weeks by not forcing our plays and stayed patient and completed our sets with a good kick putting our selves on the front foot all the time. From 1 to 17 everyone had a role to play in the win with everybody stepping up and getting through plenty of work, big raps have to go to our forwards with our props Oscar and Busta helping to lay the platform for our man of the match influential half back Lewis Colrein who led us round the park with a cool head and helped us dominated as well as we did along with his half back partner Lewis Poskit who did some impressive off the cuff plays. A special mention has to go to Callum Lane who for the fourth game running played big minutes gaining big meters and defending brilliantly all the time also a mention has to go George Kirby, Joe Watson, Andy Bucknell and Jack Kerrison with all four making debuts for the Doggies and all putting in solid performances and none of them looked out of place in the team. The Bulldogs tries came from Kieran Jones 2, our captain Sam Turner, Ryan Arnett, George Kirby, Lewis Poskit 2, Colrein 2, Lennox Green, Oscar,Jack Kerrison and Tom Watson with Lennox Green adding 9 goals. All the boys would like to say a massive thank you to our physio for the game Eddie who stepped in and looked after them, this result should give the boys massive confidence and we can now build on this having got the monkey off our back and keep on getting them Ws in the box and keep going forward as a club. Ps a quick message to coach Dimmo Brownie played well must of been that pint before the game....
