Glynneath v. Bryncoch - under 11’s - 20/11/11

Final Score : 21- 5

Bryncoch Squad ; Ryan, Thomas, Kai, Jordan, Sam, Steffan (c), Nathan, Theo, Callum, Jacob H, Scott, Adam, Christian, Louis, Rhys, Connor

The Blues dominated a recent away fixture against Cwmgors, running in a number of their usual Barbarian style tries in the autumn sunshine, however today’s match away at Glynneath was quite a different story.

A cold morning and heavy pitch greeted the Blues as they waited for the kick off. A large match day squad including the newest squad members allowed several of the District players to have a rest before their next match.

Bryncoch started brightly and soon saw the influential hooker Jacob Hughes crash over after some neat team work in the build up to the opening try. Ryan was unusually slightly wide with the conversion.

Glynneath replied with two converted tries of their own to take them into the interval 14-5 ahead, the first half was littered with errors by the Blues, thus preventing them from producing the quality display we have all seen.

Bryncoch failed to score during the second half, and Glynneath sealed the win with one more converted try from a long kick and chase seeing them home with a final score of 21-5.

Well done to Glynneath for grinding out the win, the Blues will be disappointed with their own efforts, but the Coaching team are probably planning the mid-week session already!

Team News;

Congratulations to the boys who made the District Squads, namely Jacob Hughes, Rhys, Steffan, Jordan, Adam and Scott. The latest Bryncoch squad members also continue to develop and look quite impressive, well done to you all.
