• Work hard & concentrate but have fun doing so

Team Policy

• We train hard to improve and be as competitive a team as we can, as individuals and a team
• We play as well as we can because we want the team to succeed.
Training Policy
• We turn up early and are ready to train hard because we want to be as good a squad as we can
• We have fun and we concentrate on improving our skills
Playing Policy
• We turn up early and are ready to play because we want the team to be the best we can
• We support our team mates and play for the team
Team Selection Policy
For the majority of matches
• If you turn up you will play
• If you turn up to training & matches you will play more.
For some matches a squad will be selected as decided by coaches
• Commitment to and in training
• Level of basic skills: passing, catching, tackling, positioning & support
• Desire to play with team
• Desire to improve and do best
• Front row considerations (see below)
Front Row
As this is now a specialist role that has developed over the last few years it is essential that anyone playing in front row is capable and experienced to do so. All players are encouraged to try these positions out in training. Front row players will be selected first.
Good Behaviour
The following good behaviour is expected from all
• To be positive and encouraging to all
• Enthusiasm for and demonstration of fair play
• A sense of humour and fun
• Outward acceptance of referees decisions
Discipline
• If any player is seen to display violent as opposed to aggressive behaviour (or any other unwarranted behaviour) in training or during matches, they will be removed from the situation. This will give the coaching team and parents the chance to point out the error of their ways and enforce good behaviour.
• The coaching team does not want to or should not be disciplining players for poor, immature or silly behaviour. It is the responsibility of the player and their parents / carers for good behaviour at training and matches. Parents are encouraged to talk to their child if some or all of the coaching team are looking / acting exasperated with their child.
Communication with parents
• It is our prime concern that the players are enjoying their rugby. If they are not please talk to any of the coaching team about your or your child’s concerns.
• If as a parent/ carer you are not enjoying your child’s rugby please talk to anyone on coaching team.
• If we as a coaching team are not enjoying your child or their parent / carer we will speak to you directly
Parent Rules
• If your son can’t come please get him to contact us in advance with the reason why
• Please make sure we have your contact details
Parent Request

POINT OF NOTE
1) Pre-season training and in season training is vital for fitness, organisation, skills, team building. If you can please do come.
If each player can be in the right place and more active than his opponent for 1 min each half that is equal to half an hour with an extra player!
