Windsor Match Report
Tough Day at the Office
Buckingham travelled to Windsor in the hope of continuing their recent good form. They got off to a good start when winger Craig Coxon intercepted an optimistic Windsor pass on the half way line to race clear and score under the posts. James Hulston converted to give Buckingham a 7-0 lead. This lead was cut to two points when Windsor took advantage of a couple of unnecessary mistakes to score a well worked try in the corner with 18 minutes on the clock. The ensuing conversion was missed.
Buckingham hit back with some quality rugby and with the referee playing advantage from a Windsor infringement, Adam Clarke rounded the Windsor defence to score. James Hulston was unlucky with the conversion the ball rebounding from the post.
Unfortunately this lead was not to last as Windsor found their rhythm and began to dominate possession and with three tries and two conversion in quick succession the half closed with Windsor holding a 29-12 lead.
The second half continued in the same vain with Windsor domination displaying well drilled cohesive running rugby. Windsor stretched their lead to 50-12 before Buckingham were able to score with a second try for Craig Coxon.
Windsor added a further try to complete the match with a final score of 55-17
Buckingham will hope for a huge improvement this coming weekend as they hit the road south again travelling to High Wycombe.
