As we begin the final countdown before the end of this season we know that we have to fight hard to keep our place in the Huws Gray Alliance League. Every game now counts and poses a huge challenge. I was delighted when we finally broke a long series of losses with our success against Conway Borough last Saturday.
During that game, our first away win since last September, and only the second clean sheet of the season, I was extremely proud of how our players demonstrated true commitment and fierce determination throughout, whilst ably managed and coached by Dan Moore and Alan Edwards.
I trust that same winning streak will in place when we meet Mold Alex today as we hope to capitalise on our recent victory. This will be another small vital step in securing our future although we have three hard games to go, against Guilsfield at home and away at Holywell Town and Caernarfon.
Meanwhile here at The Globe we have been busy making more improvements for our supporters and visitors. This week we have installed a new PA system and now have proper access for our wheelchair users.
At this point I must also wish a speedy recovery to Terry Ingram who had been working with us and is now recuperating after his recent illness.
Just a quick reminder to our home supporters to vote for their Player of the Season. Voting forms can be obtained from committee members or are available at the gate.
In conclusion I would like to extend a warm welcome to Chelle Griffiths and her Under 9’s Buckley Wanderers team and also to our faithful supporters and the players, fans and committee members from Mold Alex.
I trust that we will all enjoy a great game this afternoon at The Globe and may the best team win!
Come on down and support the Bucks
