All Square with Llansantffraid

Builth Wells 2 - 2 Llansantffraid

The first team extended their unbeaten run to six with a 2-2 draw against Llansantffraid Village on the Lant Field. Builth raced into a two goal lead inside the opening 10 minutes but after that they were second best for much of the afternoon.

Jason Samuel's side could not have wished for a better start as Kevin Lewis put them ahead from Adam Oakley's through ball. Chris Jones set Steve Morgan up for a second although Llansantffraid 'keeper Jimmy Haynes should have done better.

Sam Williams, forced to don the 'keeper's jersey in the absence of Stuart Turpin, made a fine save to keep out Steve Tompkins' header and Tompkins had a couple of further half chances as the visitors pressed.
Llansantffraid were right back in the game on the hour with Kieran Evans
netting via a post. Five minutes later, it was all square with Neil Prescott on target after Tompkins had his effort blocked.

Haynes had to clear off his own line from a Prescott backpass while at the other end, Williams did well to keep out Chris Aitken's header. Builth, despite being on the back foot, might have snatched it late on with Morgan going close after latching on to Jamie McIlroy's long ball forward.
