Disappointing Weekend

Last weekend was poor one with both sides losing, the Reserves losing their unbeaten home record while the 1sts were very well beaten by title chasing Montgomery Town.

Montgomery Town 8 - 0 Builth

Builth crashed to an 8-0 defeat as the Montgomeryshire men showed why they are top. Elliot Jones bagged a hat-trick with Tom Evans (2), Lee Jones, Gary Bromley and Andy Davies completing the spree. Jonny Samuel was also sent off for swearing at the referee after the hosts' fourth goal.

Builth Reserves 1 - 2 Llandrindod Reserves

Builth Wells Reserves saw their title hopes dented following a 2-1 defeat at home against rivals Llandrindod Wells Reserves.

Gareth Sims put Llandrindod in front and Martin Rowan's free-kick eluded
everyone to double their advantage. Will Cleaton put Builth back in the game before half time with his third goal in as many games and they went on to dominate but Justin Powell saw his free kick clawed away by Llandrindod's stand-in 'keeper John Foster, who produced further saves from Joel Metcalf and Liam Ryland twice while Huw Lewis cleared a Ryland effort off the line as Builth suffered their first home league defeat.
