Young Cammy Samuel was awarded with a signed ball from all of the lads, for his efforts on the side lines this season.

I am so ecstatic for being able to play Burbage
- Cameron Samuel

Cammy has provided players with much needed h20, marked stats for his dad, helped his dad set up all of the warm up equipment and generally helped wherever he was needed.

Q - You were awarded with a signed rugby ball from all of the players at the awards evening, as a thank you for all of the hard work you have put in this season from filling water bottles up, setting up the pitches and warm up equipment to giving us the h20 needed when we were flat on our feet. How did it feel to be presented with the ball?
A - Collecting the ball was really exciting because it showed that my hard work had been shown and it makes me feel happy that I was able to help the club.

Q - Your dad has been a massive part of what we are building here at Burbage, what are your thoughts on your dad’s and the clubs achievement this year?
A - I feel my dad and the club have achieved a lot over the past season, I know that my dad is very committed to the club which helps him and the club progress forward. I know I have only been at the club for one season but the club has achieved a lot. Both teams won their leagues and we have come a long way as a club in general.

Q - You’ve been a fantastic help this season of the field, but as we all know, you’re turning 17 shortly so will be able to join the boys on the field. You put a lot of effort into the training sessions you join in currently, are you looking forward to finally wearing a Burbage shirt? Also, what position do you see yourself playing?
A - I am so ecstatic for being able to play Burbage, mainly because I know that we all will get along and have lots of fantastic games of rugby together, I have always wanted to play for a club and now the opportunity has come up I'm going to train harder than ever and come into the season running full force. I see myself playing as a winger because I know I can use my speed and aggression to break lines and score try's.
