Description

We will be running two back to back weekly 45 minute classes of 16 children per class for 'Tikes' (age 2-3) and 'Tacklers' (age 4-5).

Developed and managed by Local mum Louise Pickett; and both classes are to be coached by Marcella Yeates synonymous with 'Tumbletots' and also a level 2 RFU coach.

T'n'T has been created as a community project embedded within the club. It's an opportunity for pre-schoolers to learn about a game within a fun early years framework that develops the fundamentals of skill, respect and discipline. The project has club rugby at heart, and is a natural pre cursor to the established BHRFC Minis programme.

Classes will take place at the Burgess Hill Youth Club (formerly Burgess Hill Boys Club), a venue that has watched many a Sussex All Black grow from knee high, presenting a very full circle community feel to the project.

The classes are open to both girls and boys.

Club Chairman Neil Upton, supports and endorses the project as 'a fantastic idea that introduces rugby and the sense of 'club' to children in a gentle and fun way, but starts to involve them early in our fantastic sport. As a club and community establishment we have always worked toward getting as many as we can involved in rugby as we believe its values and benefits are second to no other sport. The evolution of T'n'T is something that we as a club and our local community can benefit from and we hope produces more happy healthy rugby playing children'.


We are delighted to confirm our official 'Demo & Register' day as Saturday 20th July from 12pm at the Burgess Hill Rugby Club, Poveys Close RH15 9TA.
