BHRFC win the Maastrich International 10's Tournament

Beating the previous unbeaten 2 times champions Stade from France in the final.

With teams from France, Belgium, Holland and Germany the field looked tough and Hill looked jaded getting off the coach.

With heat exceeding 26c and an and 3g pitch being used Hill set about the task winning their group beating German, Dutch and narrowly French opposition on the way. Highlight of the pool was DoR Ross Hallifax coming out of retirement for a half.

Captain for the tour winger/full back "Party Chris Buckman" lead his side to victory after victory with the Black pack showing the strength they had shown all season. Second row Ian Parris was outstanding showing pace, power and guile cutting up the international opposition.

After conceding two early scores in the semi against Maastrich Maurauders Hill turned up the heat and colt Joe "Justin Bieber" Schofield showed his magic before putting in centre Dan Harris followed by further tries by Ben Cobb, Dave Daly and Buckman to win 12-24.

In the final Hill faced 2 times champions Stade Francis amateurs who looked unbeatable throughout the tournament.
Hill had done their spying however and realised the Stade pack was creaking and their play maker was their 10. After putting pressure on up front and in defence Hill punished Shade winning 24 -10 scoring 4 tries to 2, 3 to the inspirational Parris who was on fire throughout and the last to Captain fantastic Chris Buckman.

Captain Buckman stated "After a long hard and successful season winning the Sussex Shield and coming second in the league, this was the real icing on the cake.
