Junior round up!

Massive respect to both Burnley and Rossendale U9's - U12's as showed in the photo taking time to hold a minutes silence for Remberance day. The U7's, U8's, U13's all trained, the U14's played Bolton at the Prairie - full seperate match report on website, and the U15's / U16's travelled to Ormskirk. With the girls U18's defeating Leigh in their group cup game.

The U9's had a great morning against Rossendale with Burnley having seven players and the away side twelve, sportsmanship happened and the away side lent Burnley a player and a eight a side match occurred. With Burnley scoring on numerous occasions and when the away side were in possession the home players made great tackles and made it very hard for the away side to score, well done all - Dan, Tom, Charlotte, Hayden, Jack, Tristan, Archie....

The U10's welcomed a new player Alfie Oulsen-Jenkins to the squad. With both sides playing to the ethos of rugby and in the right spirit. All the Burnley team played really well, all pulling their weight in defence, making it massively hard with no easy option for the opposition. Good inter passing with each other and they played well as a collective. Ray and Jayke led the way with some storming runs and cracking tackles. Lois and Ava did some good tackles to, with Harrison, Gabriel and James putting in mazy and speedy runs and Noah worked well at ruck time and help win or retain the ball, finally another mention for Alfie playing his first game and getting really stuck in with good runs and nearly scoring. Squad - Ava, Noah, Jayke, Harrison, Lois, Alfie, Gabriel, James.

The U11's - With a match played in 4 x 15 allowing the Coaches to change players and give everyone enough game time and minimum half game or more and with a result at the end roughly the same it worked out well for both Rossendale and Burnley. With a few of Burnley's regulars missing for Remembrance Day it gave other newer players chance to step up and get stuck in, today player of the day was Becca Jones. Well Done All - Niamh, Austen, Fraser, Archie, Logan, Lukas, George, Tommy, Harry, Charlotte, Caitlin, Becca, Max.

The U12's were very successful again, coming out on top versus derby opposition and ran in more tries than the opposition. Refereed very well by the away team, thank you for that, let's remember to respect them even if sometimes we may not agree, your playing well keep it up - Gabriel, Archie, Tristan, Harry, Henry, Jacob W, Oliver, Jamie, Rossi, Charlie, Luke.

U14's - Report online

The U15's / U16's went to Ormskirk and just lost but scored a couple and showed more and the intergration of the younger ones into a joint squad should keep improving week on week.

Next week it's Derby Day for the youngsters at Blackburn, U12's are at Home, so are the U13's, U14's are away at Eccles and the 15/16 are at home.
