David Trick is a former Bath and England Rugby Winger and Entertaining After-Dinner Speaker.

David Trick was born in Dartford, Kent on 26th October 1960, his family moved shortly afterwards to the West Country where he was educated at Bryanston School and Bath University.

His introduction to rugby came when he was eight, although he still wonders why his father gave him a rugby ball instead of a golf club to play with.

David was also the National Junior 100m sprint Champion with a best time of 10.4 seconds. Late nights and beer steered him away from athletics towards rugby shortly after this brief flirtation with athletics success.

David toured Argentina and South Africa with the England team and played twelve games (scoring eleven tries) between 1980 and 1986.

David Trick is a popular after dinner speaker taking a light hearted look at the world of sport and its many characters. He has spoken at two Bermuda World Rugby Classic Dinners for nine hundred guests; The Hong Kong Tens Dinner for seven hundred guests with sixteen different nationalities attending, The Nat West Bank Olympic Appeal Dinner and The Midland Bank Olympic Appeal Dinner.

He has spoken at numerous corporate dinners including, Bass Brewers, Manor Bakeries, Baxter Healthcare, The Stock Exchange, Norwich Union, Bass Inns Taverns. David is also much in demand for Sportsman’s Dinners, Golf Dinners and Rugby
