World Cup year first events...

We are now at the beginning of World Cup Year which begins on 18th of September starting with England playing Fiji at 8pm, and rounding off at Twickenham on Saturday the 31st of October at 4pm - hopefully with a home nation win!!

Working towards this and beyond Burnley RUFC will be hosting numerous events -

*Supporting Junior and Secondary Schools in the Town.

*Run events to show people who have never played before, the basics of the sport through Touch Rugby.

*Host "Pitch Up and Plays" to give girls and boys taster sessions of Rugby Union.

*Through partnership with Burnley Schools Sports Partnership run Tag Rugby School Competitions around the World Cup 2015 - aiming to have schools representing a Country.

* Easter and Summer Camps.

*Club events for ALL the family with 7's Competition, BBQ and Bouncy Castle.

*Target past players back to the game whether watching in the club bar on the 4 flat screen TV's or out on the pitch in Fun Organised Events.

Above are just a few events planned around World Cup time, with others to be posted on the website nearer the time, below are dates already arranged for youngsters to take part in Rugby Union in 2015 at Burnley RUFC

5th of February - East Lancashire All Schools Yr. 8 Competition.

10th of March - Yr. 5 and 6 Tag Rugby Competition for Burnley Junior Schools.

19th of March - Yr. 5 and 6 Tag Rugby Competition Burnley Top 4 Vs Pendle Top 4.

25th of March - Girls "Pitch Up and Play" for Yr. 7 - 10 @ 3.15pm.

3rd of April - U24 Game.

20th of May - Yr. 3 and 4 Tag Rugby Competition for Burnley Junior Schools.

16th of June - C4L Rugby Skills.

** Rugby also takes place ever week if you would like more information to join the only Rugby Union Club in Burnley call 07988122186 and speak to Simon Finnan Community Rugby Coach whether your Six or Sixty the club is open to ALL...
