Linnets Welcome Invite To Merseyrail Community Stadium

Burscough Football Club have accepted a generous offer from neighbours Southport to play a ‘friendly’ game on Tuesday July 25th with a 7:45pm kick off at The Merseyrail Community Stadium.

James Treadwell, Southport Football Club Chairman, said "I proposed that we host a pre season friendly at The Merseyrail Community Stadium and we offered a date to Burscough on Sunday evening.”

Mike Swift, Chairman of Burscough FC, said "I’m delighted that our football management have been able to promptly slot in the new fixture and we appreciate the share of the gate receipts.”
