Derek's view on the weekends games.

After the game on Monday versus Prescot Cables, I spoke with Derek Goulding, the manager of Burscough FC, about his thoughts on the Darlington and Prescot games over the weekend and the season so far.

He felt it was a tough weekend with having to play two games in a few days especially being very early in the season where players are still getting match fitness up.

Derek felt over the two games the team have done well, especially on Saturday against Darlington, one of the stronger sides in the division and that both teams felt the strain on Monday from the games they played at the weekend.

He then went onto talk about how he felt they should have got two more points out of the game, but was happy to get something out of the game versus Prescot Cables FC.

With players missing from the squad and looking back at how Burscough FC did verses Darlington and Prescot last season in terms of results. He felt it is an improvement and that the squad has made a steady start to the season.

Derek finished by mentioning the FA Cup game this weekend's vesus Mossley AFC and how he looks forward to the game.
