Your chance to play Touch Rugby
Burton Rugby Club Community Department are holding a Touch Rugby Competition on Friday 14th September.
The event is aimed at those who aren't playing currently playing Rugby - for example people who fancy an introduction to the game or those who may have hung their boots up and fancy a trundle. Players who played for the club 1st XV, A XV or Colts last season will not be able to take part in the competition.
Squad size is 8 players, with 6 on the field at a time. Players must be 17 years of age and both sexes are more than welcome to join in.
The format of the evening will depend on the number of teams entering. A Shield will be presented to the winning team. The Shield was kindly donated by FIRESTOPIT Limited and this is the third year of the competition.
Entry is free - so why not join up with friends or colleagues and enter a team - or as an individual get in touch and be put into a 'Barabarians' squad.
First Kick-Off will be at 7 p.m.
A pitch-side barbeque will have food on sale for players and spectators. Soft drinks for children will be available, as will a range of beverages for the adults.
Come along and join in the fun by playing or watching.
