The Club is sad to hear the news that Horace Gilbert passed away on Saturday 21st November, aged 77.

Know to many as Hosh, he was an active member of the Club for many years, serving in various roles from coaching to promotions.

He is photographed with his son's team, David, who he took through the ranks from under 7's to Colts. Many of who will be recounting tales of his famous cry of more fire, more fire as well as remembering fun times of away trips and tours under his guidance!

During his time on Promotions Committee he would be seen at Peel Croft every Thursday evening without fail, updating the details of the Match and Game Sponsors on the board behind the bar for the following Saturday, as instructed by Tug Wilson.

His funeral is at 11.45am on Monday 7th December at St Peter's Church, Ropsley, nr Grantham, Lincolnshire, NG33. Family flowers only, however donations can be made to be split between Lincolnshire Air Ambulance and Kesteven RFC under 11's. Theses can be sent to Robert Holland Funeral Directors, 14 St.Catherine's Road, Grantham. NG31 6TS. Telephone 01476 594 422 or email Funerals@rhfd.co.uk

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very sad and difficult time.
