Sad News
The Club is very sad to hear that Dave Burchell has sadly passed away.
A friend and supporter of Burton RFC over many years, he always had time for a chat, a drink and a story to tell when visiting Peel Croft.
Dave was one of the good guys in this world and would often be found helping out around the ground, with no job too big to tackle.
He died on Sunday 9th September following a short illness surrounded by his loving family. He was 60 years old.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Susan, sons James, Peter, Ben and all their family at this very sad and difficult time.
Dave's funeral service will be held at St Peters Church, Hartshorne on Tuesday 25th September, at 12 noon, followed by interment in the churchyard.
No flowers by request, but donations in lieu for Midlands Air Ambulance and Macmillan Cancer Support are gratefully received and will be collected following the service.
