Annual Dinner Dance

The National Brewery Centre, Horninglow Street, Burton upon Trent

So the Ball is nearly upon us, and as we are at a new venue this year, I just need to let you know a few things. The Ball is being held in the marquee at the National Brewery Centre (formerly the Bass Museum) http://www.nationalbrewerycentre.co.uk/, entrance is made through the Brewery Tap on Horninglow Street (site map attached). Car Parking is available and vehicles can be left overnight, but they need to be picked up by 10am Saturday morning, the barrier code to exit the car park is 2424.

The National Brewery Centre has been kind enough to allow us to continue the tradition of bringing our own wines and spirits (with appropriate mixers) to this event. Under no circumstances must any guest bring their own beer, lager, ales or alco-pops. If guests are found to have any then they will be taken off you, please do not put us or the venue in this situation. Please make any of your guests aware of this. A fully stocked bar including two draught ales and wines will be available for purchase in the marquee. The bar will close around midnight, music and dancing until 12.30am and carriages from 1am.

The evening starts at 7pm, with the aim to be seated for dinner at 7.30pm. As in previous years a raffle will be run and we would ask everyone to take part, it is £5 per envelope (these can be found on your table). Put your £5 in the envelope and write your name on the front, the winner will then be drawn. Obviously this will be made easier if everyone remembers to bring a £5 note with them, so tell your guests, and be prepared!!! Some great prizes will be on offer.

Live music will be provided on the night by local group ‘Spookyfish’. http://www.www.spookyfish.biz/

So Gents make sure your Dinner Suit fits and Ladies I hope you’ve all managed to buy that new dress you’ve been after for a while!! Looking forward to what will hopefully be another wonderful night celebrating our great Club, The Burton Rugby Football Club.
