Hello everyone, and may I wish a happy new year to you all, I hope that the festive season has been kind to you all. The new season is due to start in early March with the initial 4 or 5 weeks being designated to the 'War of the Roses' competition. After much deliberation and confusion to boot, I can confirm that the competition is one that is made up of groups of 4 or 5 teams that play a mini league that the group winners play off against each other to see who will represent the North West Mens league against their Yorkshire counterparts. The groups will be made up of teams from different divisions, and I feel this will act as a fantastic opportunity to take some pre season game experience into the on coming season's Division 1 fixtures. Yes, we have been placed in Division 1 (2nd tier out of 5 proposed divisions) a worthy reward for your efforts throughout the intermediate season. The coaching team would like to encourage everyone of the playing members to come along to club training nights; Wednesday 7:30 to 8:30 (at Total Fitness, Warrington), Thursday 8:00 to 9:00 (at Brook head Farm, Burtonwood) and to the Weekend Session Sunday afternoon 2:00 to 3:00 (at Total Fitness, Warrington) Attendance will ensure that we go into the season in as prepared condition as we possibly can be and be ready to go from the off. Please dont be somebody who could have offered more, as, along with all the others who are in the pub, it is too late by then. Be the best and offer your best now!
