The club are proud to see Blake Roberts selected to tour Serbia later this year with the England Lionhearts squad representing the North West Men's League following yesterday's trials held at Golborne Parkside.

This is the latest honour Blake has received for his consistent high level of play over the last few years having shared the Player's Player of the Year award last year and picking up the Rochdale and District Young Player of the Year award prior to that.

The selected squad below engages 13 clubs with 20 players, there are also 3 train on members who have been informed. The party will play in the Belgrade cup on the 7th May and will Play the Serbian National team two days later on the 9th May. The squad will depart 5th May from Manchester and return on the 10th May, a civic reception will be held in their honour on the 8th May.

The tour will cost £575 for Blake to attend and the league will make no contribution to that cost, however we will look to support him as a club by turning over one race on February 21st to help meet this cost as well as helping with collections and other fundraising assistance.
