Our young players represented Bury Broncos at a mini festival organised by Salford RD Foundation

Five young players turned out on a rainy summer evening to represent Bury Broncos at a mini festival organised by Salford RD Foundation.

Teams from Folly Lane, Salford Roosters and Langwothy Reds were cheered on by enthusiastic supporters who praised all the young players in a friendly atmosphere that promoted good sportsmanship.

Adrian Morley was in attendance and he was heard to praise one of Nathans terrific tackles, bringing a big smile to his mums face.  Alistair showed determination as did Alfie with both boys giving their all for their teammates in defense and when going forward.  Josephs smile was a joy to see when he crossed the line for the first time ever and his father was over the moon when Joseph scored for the second time.  Harrison showed no fear when tackling and he made some outstanding drives forward to become the worthy winner of the outstanding team player award.

Danny Kelly (coach) and all the Bury Broncos supporters were overjoyed and full of pride as the boys were presented with the Fair play trophy by Adrian Morley.  The boys might not have scored many tries but they showed sportsmanship and a love for the game; a credit to the club.

Congratulations to all who took part and thank you to SRD Foundation for a well organised festival.

It really was a fantastic feeling when they announced the winner of the trophy - there were tears in the eyes of parents and I was so proud of the lads.
