Our Vision:
To create and develop a hockey club with people achieving as players, umpires, coaches and volunteers at the highest possible level.
What is the Ethos of the Club?
Bury Jaguars Junior Hockey Club provides opportunities for children under the age of 16 and of all abilities to take part in coaching, umpiring and competitive opportunities. The club aims to provide hockey for every level of competition. There is a strong belief in promoting additional opportunities not just for playing but coaching, umpiring and volunteering. The opportunities are for every member to reach their potential in whichever aspect of hockey they choose.
Where are we now?
The club currently has 6 junior teams. The Junior Teams the club has are U11boys & girls, U13 boys & girls, U15 boys & girls. Each side competes in the Greater Manchester Junior League.
Facilities
Training takes place using Castlebrook High School with competitions taking place at the Belle Vue Hockey Centre, Manchester.
The club is managed by a Committee of eleven. The Committee is appointed at the AGM with the additional roles of President, Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Fixtures Secretary, Youth Co-ordinator, Club Development Officer and 2 general representatives. The club has numerous coaches from Level 1 to level 2 and 2 trainee level 2’s. Additionally there are a number of Young Leaders within the club. The club has sought funding to enable members to qualify as coaches and leaders as well as building links with schools. The club is actively seeking sponsorship to enable us to continue to provide excellent facilities, equipment and training for our coaches that our members deserve.
