On 30th June 2010, I shall be setting off from London on my bicycle, and pedalling towards Dover. The ultimate destination is Paris, or more precisely the Eiffel Tower, which I should reach on 3rd July. Yes, only 4 days later! Averaging approximately 75 miles a day, my bum will be very sore and my legs will ache for days to come.
"Why oh why do such a thing?" I hear you cry.
Well I'll tell you. Its all in aid of the Alzheimers Society, and their dedication to not only finding a cure for dementia, but also their unrelenting commitment to helping those with the disease, and those who care for them. One in three older people will end their life with dementia, so it's no great surprise that most of us will be affected in some way on a personal level.
So please help me, to help them, to help us (and any other cliche you can think of), by giving generously to this very worth cause.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Alzheimers Society and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Many thanks
Rob
