Torquay proved brave opposition but Bury continued to improve. The first try came from Ryan Bennett turning over Torquay ball which was spun out to Cameron Ramsay to score. This was followed by captain Joe Phillips receiving the ball from a Cameron Ramsay break to score. Jamie Cooke was brought down close to the line but support play from Ed Barrett enabled the ball to be spun out to Ryan Bennett to score. The next 2 tries came in quick succession with Harry Bullock and Joe Phillips both scoring. In the second half Harry Bullock cut through the defence and was brought down on the line but was able to reach out to score. Alex Hollingworth then broke on the wing handed off his opposite number to score a try. The final try came from Chris Silk finishing off a move with Joe Phillips and Will Paske. Dale Gibson converted 5 of the tries. Bury proved efficient winners 53 – 0 against a disciplined and hardworking Torquay side.
