Ladies Rugby @ Bury ST Edmunds Rugby Club – The Haberden
‘THE FOXES’
A liitle information for you all concerning our Ladies Section.
Training is Monday nights 7.30 till 9pm. During these summer off season months its on the mini's pitches (fields off carpark down to the right when past clubhouse), throughout the rugby season we use the top (3rd) pitch (next to astro turf) or the 2nd pitch. The first one after the gate coming into the car park.
Ladies membership commences at the beginning of the season (September ) and is currently £55 per annum. This fee will provide regular Monday night sessions (except bank hols) and the closed season (from June to Sept) fitness sessions. Once a member you get to join the gym for a one off £10 induction fee. The fee also includes insurance and physiotherapy for any training or game injuries - physiotherapy available on Thursday evenings September to June.
Monday night sessions involve fitness, rugby drills and games between each other. We try and divide the sessions into 45 minutes fitness followed by 45mins game time.
We currently play TAG and also TOUCH rugby. We also train for FULL CONTACT by way of tackling bags and pads - this is optional.
When you join the ‘Foxes’ you find us as a fun bunch of girls and welcome any new players or supporters who are 18years or older. It doesn’t matter what your fitness level, age or ability – we just enjoy playing rugby together.
Monday nights till end of July are free taster sessions. Come along and join in and work out – I’m sure you’ll love it then after a holiday break for the coach in Aug we will start up 2011-2012 membership. Bring your friends and work colleagues, you'll all be most welcome.
