The Finborough School Headmaster...James Sinclair sent this message..“It was great to have such huge support from Bury Rugby Club, all the Minis and their families and friends. Having run from Finborough to Bury St Edmunds that morning as part of my North Pole Marathon training, it gave me a real boost to see everyone that turned out – especially being Mother’s Day. It was fantastic to have circa 100 kids joining me in two laps of the first team pitch and helping me to raise an extra £186.20 for my charity, Wooden Spoon. Thanks to Phil Torkington, Club Chairman for arranging the day and, as a proud sponsor, I look forward to bringing home pictures of the Bury Rugby Club shirt at the North Pole when I complete the Marathon in just over a week from now”. Bury St Edmunds RFC, The Coaching staff and myself would like to say a massive thank you and well done to all those who took part in the tag rugby competition held at the club on Friday 9th March. With primary schools from Barton Turf, Westgate, Risby, Hopton and Eleveden, over 100 players turned out for a lovely day of tag rugby. With a focus on simply getting each individual player as much game time as possible. Each team played a minimum of 5 games in a round robin style tournament. . View » -
