The Wolves were taught a lesson in controlled rugby on Saturday, away to 2nd placed Shelford on Saturday.
Shelford opened the scoring right from the kick off due to some poor tackling from the Wolves.
Stunned into action the Wolves hit back with a great try from centre Borley following 4 phases of fluid rugby.
With the Wolves starting to dominate territory and possession Shelford were fortunate to get an interception to give them their 2nd of the game.
But playing with confidence and expanse the Wolves kept surging forward and centre Borley did well to put winger Turner into a gap to keep the Wolves right in the game at half time.
Unfortunately the first half of the 2nd half saw Shelford impose themselves on the game and pounce on the errors and poor defence from the Wolves to score further tries.
With the game lost it was pleasing to see the Wolves battling to get back into the game. The Wolves were rewarded with 2 tries the first from winger Sam Linton and the second a great solo 60m run from fly half Duchesne.
It was great to see prop Elliot Blenhorn return to the club and put in a fine display at prop.
The work rate and commitment shown by young players Gilbert and Branfield deserves mention.
