We have just been told that Matt Huxley has decided to join his old club Oldland in a bid to regain his match fitness and get regular football, this is huge disappointment for us all as he has been the star tat shone brightest in our club for many years.
His goals have been a huge part of our progress and we can have nothing but praise for a true striker who would stand up against anyone who has played at this level.
Not only have we lost a fantastic striker but also a very genuine guy.
Younger players could learn so much from Matt who just loves to play football and will always go through the pain barrier to play.
He has also scored the best goal I have ever witnessed at Gillingham a few seasons ago where everyone in the ground applauded.
You will be missed Matt but we wish you good luck.
