The Rhinos looked well organised from the start with half backs Jimmy Crozier and Kieran Hope calling the shots.

Some strong running from the Rhinos pack saw them gain the upper hand and Josh Williams came close to scoring twice early on before he finally broke the deadlock as the ball was spread wide and he hit the gap before sprinting 50 meters to score under the posts. Jon Butler added the conversion and the Rhinos led 6-0.

Forward sub Ridick Mayanu then made an instant impact bursting through the line and then offloading to Jon Butler in support who dived over for a good try. Butler then converted and the Rhinos led 12-0.

Cadishead were looking in good form and Rylands were struggling as they threw the ball around. The next break through came as the ball was passed wide to winger Matty Lee who acrobatically avoided touch to dive over in the corner. Jon Butler once again converted taking the score to 18-0.

The Rhinos were now in full control and on 37 minutes on the opposite wing Calvin Mack collected Richie Hayes's kick and dashed over for a try to take the score to 22-0.

Just before the break the frustrated Rylands side gave away a penalty in front of their own posts and Jon Butler stepped up to kick the penalty goal and give the Rhinos a 24-0 half time lead.

The second half started with the Rhinos in attack again however it was Rylands who were next to score as their full back broke the line and raced the full length of the pitch however Matty Lee did a great job chasing back to ensure the try was scored in the corner leaving a difficult kick which they subsequently missed.

The Rhinos were still make good yards though with Jamie Cain, Lee Mack and George McNulty-Shaw leading the way and their hard work was rewarded when loose forward Richie Hayes burst through to score and Jon Butler added the conversion to extend the Rhinos lead to 30-4.

Next up was man of the match Billy Brickhill who bamboozled the Rylands defence with some fancy footwork before diving over to score, Butler once again added the extras taking it to 36-4.

The second half was much closer than the first and Rylands showed their metal hitting back with two quick scores bringing the score to 36-16 before Tom Hayman sealed the win when he burst though to score a well worked try.
