The first mid-week game of the season occurs this Thursday as the RAF Academy side is welcomed to the Cadishead Recreation Ground for a friendly.

The Rhinos have found themselves strongly linked with the armed forces teams over the last few years having played the Army Vets, Cosford Lions and now the RAF Academy side and the open age lads are looking forward to locking horns with a great side.
Having found themselves through to the next round of the cup and with no game at the weekend this is a great way for the Rhinos to stay match fit and prepare for their next match, just over a week away, against Manchester Rangers. This match comes first though and it isn't one to be taken lightly just because it has a 'friendly' tag on it. The RAF Academy side is made up of young men trying to break into the RAF first team and they will always be ready to impress their own coaching team with a strong performance and push for promotion into that first team; Likewise, the Rhinos need to keep themselves sharp going forward and this provides a great opportunity to flush out any minor mistakes in their game play and fine tune their attack and defensive capabilities ready for the next league game.

The Rhinos Vs RAF Academy takes place this Thursday 18th May, with a 19:00 kick off scheduled at Cadishead Recreation Ground, Lords Street, M445EH
