The U12s B squad travelled to Marple for the semi final of the delayed Cheshire Shield.Half way along the M56 the sky turned black and torrential rain fell so, not surprisingly, the Marple pitch was muddy with lots of standing water.
With rain still falling, safe handling was difficult and there were plenty of stoppages in play. Nevertheless both sides worked hard in a close game and played some good rugby whenever they could.
Although the scores were close,Caldy always just had the edge and deserved their 26 - 19 victory.
They will now meet Stockport in the Final, at Caldy, on Sunday May 6th.
