Referees
Referees, who would have them? Or perhaps who would want to be one. We all need them if we want a game. They come in several sizes, shapes and capabilities. Now I am sure some of us think we know the laws better than the referee, and are quite happy to tell him so. Wrong, it never does any good. Relax, let him get on with it and we might enjoy the game more.
Unless the referee is a lady, of course. More power to them.
Oh, and don't forget, someone make sure the referee has at least one drink after the game, even if he, or she, hasn't been to your liking on the pitch
That should be: especially if he, or she, hasn't been to your liking. Who knows, the same referee might be doing the game the following week. A little bribery always goes a long way.
