I'm going to keep this email brief as it's just a quick update on the upcoming fixtures. We've had a couple of free weekends to rest weary bones but now we are hitting the business end of the season and want to end the year with a bang.

On the 15th March we have a home fixture against Newcastle Ravens with a 1pm kick off. Newcastle are the current holders of the Edinburgh Clinic trophy and are coming off their debut league season which means they will be an excellent opportunity to test ourselves against high quality opposition. This match is also an opportunity to press your claim for a place in the squad for the 2014 Hadrian's Cup which will take place down in Newcastle on the 29th March. We have yet to win a match in this tournament and want to put that right this year.

The Hadrian's Cup marks a run of four games back to back with a return friendly match at Newcastle on the 5th April; a home match with either the Hillfoot Cast Tups or Manchester Spartans on the 12th April; and an away match with Howe of Fife on the 19th April. We are going to need a strong squad to cover these fixtures and the more we commit at training the better the results and the sweeter the after match beers will be.
