1st Away Win of Season
4th attempt to win at Ash... breaks the Duck
According to the Program this was our 4th attempt to win away to Ash.
Today's squad was without Connor(Sick), Nick ( Groin) Cameron (Thigh), Dayo (Hamstring), Matt ( Ankle), also away Lekan.
so tonight starting line up
10. Adam Aimable
The squad still looking to bond and put together a performance which would give a confidence to our side as we start a few games in quick successions, to finish August off.
Tonight's game was going to be test, the home side always played well and from the start it was going to be a tough test for sure.
Charlie started well and showed the confidence and command which gave his defenders the security that they needed to control the home teams early attacks.
This showed in the first goal, coming from a quick throw out from Charlie, good movement down the right gave Brad a shooting chance on the right side of Ash's box. 1 nil up on 13 minutes, his second in his second game.
But Ash has also settled well, and almost equalised straight away, but the offside flag negated the goal. still 1 nil.
Joe was on good form too and his work rate down the left was creating chances not just form him but other too, its early in the season and these chances will finished as we go on..
Ash did get their equaliser on 35 Mins, but it was against the of play.
The Boars were on top and this was shown with the second goal for the Boars. A great run and cross from Nana, playing his second game at right back, who is looking a real good asset in this position, the ball was laid on a plate and Adam's diving header made it 2 -1 at half time.
Second half was against proving the Boars Were on their game tonight.
5 mins in an Ben popped up with his second in 2 games. (This wrapped up a good game for our skipper) anther header from close range made it 3-1.
with more attacks coming down both wings the pressure was giving the Ash's defence some issues and a foul on the right. The result free kick was delivered by Joe, who found Adam raising this time to head home his second and the Boars Fourth. on 5 mins.. scored 4-1
Saying that 4-1 was a big lead was true but it was not the total picture, as home side pushed to get back in the game another offside disallowed goal and Charlies continuing brilliant goal keeping, kept the score line to the final score.
A much performance all round.
