About Us
Calverley United Junior Football Club is now in its 22nd Season of providing football for young players in Calverley and the surrounding areas.
Calverley United Junior Football Club is a volunteer junior football organisation. Our aim is to provide young people within the Calverley and surrounding areas, the opportunity to play football in a safe, fun and supportive environment. The focus is on developing players respect of others, skill, understanding and enjoyment of the game, irrespective of their ability. VISIT www.TheFA.com/respect
We have approximately 180 children who participate in the football club across age groups from under 7’s to under 18’s. All our coaches are FA qualified and CRB checked. New coaches / managers are vetted and attend FA coaching courses which include Safeguarding Children and First Aid.
Calverley United Juniors was founded in 1989 and one of our main objectives was to give local youngsters the opportunity to play competitive football. We do not adopt a “Win at all cost” attitude and we have managed to retain our founding principles whilst achieving some notable success. The club has always promoted fair play and respect ensuring that our players are given equal opportunities, whilst being able to enjoy football for what it is - a game!
