With the likes of Derek head, Mark Richards, and Peter Doble, who have all held the post, I feel that I am in good company, and I'm sure if I need any advice there will be plenty to hand. My history with the club go's back a long way, my father was a former player and groundsman, along with Austin and Raymond Weeks, and Des Andrew who were all related. To sum up, all the milestones in my life were achieved at Roskear, learning to walk, riding a bike and driving a car. I played when I was younger, but became the black sheep of family by pursuing other sporting pastimes. With that in mind I have been a regular out at CCC as a supporter for a number of years. What the future holds for me is is the chance to be president of a great club, with a great history, a keen and growing committee, a young and talented group of cricketers, and with the likes of Kevin Roberts, Richard Moore, Darren Pascoe, Nigel Endean, and Martin Woolcock who have a wealth of experience, and have all remained loyal to the club, the foundations are in place to be competitive and hopefully successful.

The main thing for me as a sportsman, person, and President, is to work hard and be part of a group, and club that's a special place. And I know that I am not the only one that feels that way. Looking forward to the times and season ahead.
