The Cherry & Whites hopes of a Cup double are on as the Colts win the Knockout trophy in style.

Last night Captain Luke Trewhella became the first Camborne player to lift the Cornwall Colts Knockout Cup Trophy since Richard Carroll back in 1994.
The club ended their 21 year wait for the Cup with an impressive performance at Wadebridge in a match that both teams can be proud of.

Camborne and Saltash u18's put on a display of running rugby good enough to grace any final. Both teams played the match in the right spirit with 100% commitment and a never say die attitude that was a credit to Colts rugby.

For their part Camborne came out all guns blazing and blew their opponents away in the first 10 minutes racing into a 12 - 0 lead. Although Saltash never gave up and continued to press Town at every opportunity the game was over as a contest by half time with the score at 24 - 0.
To their credit the north Cornwall team put the Cherry & Whites under extreme pressure in the 3rd quarter and had they got an early score they may have got back into this match.
When they did finally cross the line there was under 20 minutes remaining, so still a mountain to climb if they were to turn the game around. Camborne's response was immediate and impressive as they bagged a brace of tries inside 4 minutes to seal the victory. Saltash had the final say with a well deserved late try but it was Town who were left to lift the trophy.
