Chapple acts quickly to bring in experienced fly half.

Camborne D.O.R Liam Chapple was quick to act after having confirmation that fly half David Mankee would be out for the remainder of the season.
Chapple found out last week the the clubs all time leading points scorer would take no further part in the rest of the campaign following a serious leg injury he sustained against Newton Abbot 3 weeks ago.
With Jake Champion, Louis Vinnicombe already out for the season due to injury and Connor Swan having moved to Bristol the Cherry & Whites back line has been hit hard. With Taron Peacock having missed half the season through injury and Taff Roko only available for a handful of games due to work commitments it's certainly been a struggle for the selectors.

The club are therefore delighted to announce the signing last week of former player Rhys Brownfield who has joined us from South West 1 St Ives.
Former Cornwall u20's Rhys has spent the last two seasons at the Hakes where he enjoyed a successful time helping them to the Western Counties title and Cornwall Cup double last season.
24yr old Rhys was also part of the Camborne squad which won South West 1 and the Cornwall Cup in 2016, so he has an excellent pedigree and will bring a lot to the squad.

Rhys certainly had a baptism of fire at the weekend when the team faced run away leaders Bournemouth. His kicking certainly made a big difference as Camborne came within 2 points of being the first team to win at the South Coast club in 16 months.

Rhys is the second signing the club has made in the last fortnight following the arrival of Matt Butler and he probably won't be the last before the 22nd February cut off date.
