Town suffer narrow defeat in Somerset

If points were awarded for hard work, effort and commitment when your backs are to the wall then Town would have picked up all 5 in this match.

The visitors defence held firm in the first half whilst their attack looked had a real cutting edge as they led 12 - 3 at the break. A brace of well worked tries from Alex Ducker separated the teams as Camborne were good value for their lead.

In the second half the visitors had to contend with a controversial try, injuries and three yellow cards all of which forced the team to dig deep. With all this it would have been easy for players to let their heads drop but the players showed great spirit and fight never giving up.

Despite the loss head coach Liam Chapple will take a lot of heart from this performance as he prepares his squad for the visit of St Austell this Saturday. He will be hoping for a much better attendance at training than there has been in recent weeks.
