South West 1's leading point scorers Camborne return home again this Saturday after a three week break and will be looking to continuing with their good form and entertaining style of play. The Cherry & Whites have averaged almost 50 points per game at the REC and their 3 home matches have yielded over 200 points, this is the kind of rugby people will come to see.
With an average age of 22 this is certainly one of the youngest Senior squads the club has fielded in league rugby and yet the team are well in contention sitting comfortable in 3rd place in the table after 5 matches.
This weekend the team will receive a stern test from a Chard side containing several players with National league experience. Although the visitors have had a less than promising start to the season they have had to face 5 of the top 6 teams in the league and as yet they've not failed to pick up at least a bonus point.
Selectors will be hoping for a return to availability of Sam Matavesi, Tony Whittle, Noah Sixton, Gareth Mankee and Harvey Jones who all missed the cup match. They are already without captain Steve Kenward (leg) and there will be fitness tests on Tom Hinds and Dan Hubble who picked up knocks at Bude last week.
There's still a lot more to come from this squad who let's face it have played just a handful of games together, once they click they will take some stopping and are capable of being a real force in SW 1 .
