This year, we have decided to combine our end-of-season celebrations with the Annual General Meeting on 26 January.
The Junior awards ceremony will be held from 4pm, with the AGM from around 5pm and the senior awards from around 6.30pm.
The bar will be open to purchase drinks, and the club will provide some snacks/light food, but we need a volunteer to help organise this – please contact a member of the committee to offer help.

The AGM is a crucial part of the running of your club, and it is also your opportunity to raise any issues and have a say in the direction the club is headed. I would urge as many of you as possible to take the time to attend this short meeting.
A full agenda will be circulated before the event, but the main task is to elect the team captains and committee officers for next season. As we currently have no Chair, and are losing Richard Pye as Treasurer and Andrew McLean as Club Captain, volunteers for these important roles particularly important – anyone interested in this or any other committee role should contact any member of the committee for more information.
There will also be reports from the existing officers, and feedback from the club survey taken earlier in the year.
If anyone has items they would like to raise at the meeting, please email cambournecc@gmail.com before 12 January.

Committee roles:
Chairperson (currently vacant) – public representative and executive decisionmaker
Secretary (currently Graham saint) – Organise, run and report minutes of committee meetings, liaise with league organisers
Treasurer (currently vacant) – Keep accounts and manage club funds
Club Captain (currently vacant) – assist with selection, including arbitrating between teams
Welfare Officer (Currently Andrew McLean, but will be vacant after 2019 season, so we want to get someone on board now as this role requires some training) – look after the welfare of all players, and be available
Junior Coordinator (currently Rajesh Sharma) – direct and represent the interests of the junior section on the committee
Head coach (currently Stephen Warburton)
Fixtures Secretary (currently Phillip Broadwith) – organise fixtures and ensure grounds are booked for home games
Membership Secretary (currently Jon Gadsby) – administer membership database(s), advise the committee of outstanding membership fees
There are also several roles that are currently unfilled – if we could raise more volunteers from within the club to help with these tasks, it will make a huge difference to the future of the club:
Development manager – someone to plan and take control of the club’s growth and development, for example by approaching sponsors and looking for partnership opportunities to develop facilities and
Social secretary – someone to organise events like the end-of-season celebration, and fundraisers such as the South African night
Media Liaison – to communicate the club’s activities with local press, and via social media
