1st lose 4 - 0 in Kershaw Premier KO Cup, Reserves lose 3 - 2 in William Coad Cup

It was tough weekend for CUPFC as both teams exited a cup competition with defeats.

The Reserves made the trip to Ely City Reserves on Friday night in the William Coad Intermediate Cup, and battled hard on their way to a loss against higher league opposition. Kenny grabbed a goal back at 2 - 0 in the 1st half, before Strikes scored a late consolation for a 3 - 2 final score.

The 1sts had a day to forget with a poor performance on their way to a 4 - 0 defeat at local rivals to Cherry Hinton in the Kershaw Premier KO Cup. CUP's misery was compounded with Will Conlon receiving two yellow cards and being dismissed during the second half.

Training continues this evening, a 6.45pm start at the Cass, ahead of this weekend's matches, with both teams look to return to winning ways in the league as the 1sts travel to Eaton Socon and the Reserves continue on the road facing unbeaten Red Lodge.
