The Governance Subcommittee (GC) is the “Legal & Compliance” department of the club with a broad remit covering areas such as constitutional oversight, GDPR and data, safeguarding, disciplinary, membership and RFU Accreditation. Within the GC also sits oversight for International Match Tickets, Club Memorabilia, honours and awards.

The GC consists of eight members who’s existing commitments elsewhere within the club is the reason we are seeking to appoint a Head (Chair) of this important subcommittee.

Key Aspects of the role

The role involves chairing quarterly meetings of the GC by across the standing agenda, recording and allocating actions and providing minutes to the Executive Committee.

Is the role for you?

The ideal candidate for Head of the Governance Committee is likely to be a longstanding club member with good all-round knowledge of the club, its members and experience of the RFU, Herts CB and other key stakeholders.

A background in law, human resources or business management would be helpful although not essential for the role.
