Club have today received notification from The North Midlands RFU of a 5 point deduction following a breach of Rule 7 (a) of the RFU League Rules
Also, 1XV Hooker (Adam Willis) faces two-year ban after apparently using a banned steroid cream in an attempt to stimulate hair growth.
Willis failed a random drug test following the 1XV team's League win at Ludlow on 1st March.
The Club Chairman has confimed that he expects the RFU to initially ban the 1XV hooker for 6 months, ruling him out for the remainder of this Season, and a large portion of the 2014/15 Season
The Club Chairman has commented "I have spoken to Adam and he has admitted that he uses hair-growth cream to try and grow his hair, but, had no idea that it had a steroid in it, however, even though we will appeal the decision through the proper channels, I think the 5 point deduction will seal our fate, and I think we are now sure to be relegated"
Willis will face an internal disciplinary panel later this week
Club Coach (Richard Bragg) has refused to comment.
