Nationwide survey of young people playing rugby opens today

250,000 young people, parents, schools and colleges will be asked to take part Dylan Hartley supporting the campaign Share the survey and encourage involvement

From today, the RFU is launching a survey of attitudes and motivations of young people playing rugby across the country. The findings, available in the autumn, will be used to help make the sport even better for all those playing it at age grade level and to support their lifelong participation in the game.

“If you’ve played rugby and are aged 19 or under this is your chance to tell us exactly what you think.” Dylan Hartley

The survey is being shared with more than 250,000 young people and parents, clubs, schools and colleges, through our CRM database, in messages such as the one shown below.

England captain Dylan Hartley added his support: “We want to understand what young people want from their game to make sure we’re getting it right for them and they are motivated stay involved for the rest of their lives.”

RFU Head of Education Development, Mark Saltmarsh: “We’re looking to get as many responses as possible. Lots of RFU staff members have children either involved in the game or not. It would be great if they could spend ten minutes on the survey.”

Please share the link below and encourage both current and former young players to take part and give their views.
