Below is information from Birmingham Moseley in regard to their Tournament on Sunday 2nd October 2016. Below the information are the Tournament Rules witch you may wish to read as well Finally below that is the Tournament's Code of Conduct.

Thank you for confirming your place at the Moseley minis Festival on 2nd October 2016.

Things are now well under way with our organising and we are pleased to enclose your welcome pack with team registration sheets, directions, festival rules, and a code of conduct

We have a full house of clubs attending with what promises to be some keenly competed games across all age groups.

1. Registration will open up at 9.00am inside the main clubhouse. Enclosed are registration forms for each team – please hand them in when you register, please ensure that all registration forms are complete and that you hold an R.F.U card for each participating player. Due to insurance regulations only registered players can take part. The onus is on each individual coach to ensure their players are covered by RFU insurance schemes.

2. Parking. Parking will be available at Billesley for coaches, mini-buses and cars, and at Swanshurst School for cars only. Please note that no parking is permitted on adjacent roads or at the Tennis Centre and the police have indicated that they will tow away any vehicle which is incorrectly parked.

3. Programmes:entrancetothefestivalwillbebyprogrammeatthecostof £5.00 per car, on foot £3, these can be bought from sellers at all entrances. They contain all fixture information. Please could I ask that the vehicle drivers have their money ready as this will help the flow of traffic into the car parks.

4. Dogs.Mustbekeptundercontrolandarenotallowedwithintheboundary of the clubhouse, all weather pitch and 1st team pitch. We would ask that they are kept off all pitches as a matter of safety and hygiene

5. Pitchlayoutandplayingconditionswillbeclearlysetoutinthe programme.

6. Referees.Itisimportantthateachteamhasonecoach,perteam entered, capable of refereeing – it shouldn’t be more than three games. There will be a referees and coaches briefing at your pitch side carried out by the Moseley lead coach at 10:00hrs. The refereeing rota will be shown in the programme.

7. Tournamentrules.RFUNewAgeGradeRugbyforagegroupsU7–U12 will be adhered to for more information please refer to: http://www.englandrugby.com/governance/regulations/

8. Punctuality. Everyone enjoys it more when tournaments run to time. Please ask coaches and referees to check the time of their games in the programmes, and to be ready to start at the appointed time. Moseley age group managers will be pitch side and will be there to ensure smooth running – please co-operate with them. Any queries should be directed to them.

9. Catering.Foodandsoftdrinkswillbeavailabletobuyattheclubhouse. We request that no barbeques are brought on to the ground as hot coals, balls and running children do not make for a safe mix. PLEASE ADVISE YOUR PARENTS.

10.Alcoholic Drinks. We have been asked to remind our guests that they are not allowed to bring alcoholic drinks onto the Ground. The bar in the clubhouse will be open from 12.00pm.

11.Medals. As it is non-competitive all players will receive a medal for participating in the Birmingham Moseley Festival 2016.

12.Medical. Fully qualified medical support will be on duty all day. First aid provision is in the physio room at the rear of the clubhouse. Each Moseley Team Manager will also have radio contact with the First Aiders.

13.Studs: All coaches are to ensure that players wear studs that are safe for playing mini rugby. In the event of any dispute, the referee will make a decision on the day based on safety, and his decision will be final.

15. Photography: We are pleased to announce that DE Photo have been appointed as the Professional Sports Photographers for this event. This event, by its very nature, is in the public arena and when entering for the event the participant and their parents acknowledges this fact, which may result in the recording and publication of his/her image. All DE Photo photographers and staff have been CRB checked and the company operates a strict Child Protection Policy and Code of Ethics which can be viewed on their website at http://www.dephoto.biz/cpp You may know them already, but if not they are a well-established sport photographers and attend many rugby festivals around the country. They sell their photos on the day – can accept payment by cash, cheque or card – and have a website where you can browse through the photos after the event. Please advise your parents that this facility is available and should there be any parents who particularly do not wish to have their child included in the photographs, please let us know as soon as possible.

16.Cancellation: In the (unlikely) event that a situation such as bad weather threatens the Tournament, a decision will be made about cancellation by noon on Saturday 1st October. I shall inform the nominated contact given on the booking form ONLY in the event the tournament is cancelled. If you do not hear from me then the tournament is on.

17.Kit: please bring bibs in case there are any clashes of kit colours.

TOURNAMENT RULES

• The new RFU Regulation 15 Age Grade Rules will apply
• U7 & U8 may select from a squad of 10 players
• U9 & U10 may select from a squad of 14 players
• U11 & U12 may select from a squad of 18 players.
• The list of players in each team must be registered with the RFU with evidence presented at registration prior to the start of the Tournament. Teams can enter with fewer players if they so wish.
• Determining age will be as at 31st August 2016
• U7 and U8 age group will play tag rugby.
• Substitutions during a match can only be made during a break in play, and
must always be with the referee’s knowledge.
• Matches will be of the following durations with 2 minutes for half time and time
added for stoppages in play:-
o U7/8–notexceeding4minuteseachway;
o U9–notexceeding5minuteseachway;
o U10–notexceeding6minuteseachway;
o U11–notexceeding7minuteseachway;
o U12–notexceeding8minuteseachway;
o Noteamcanplaymorethanthestatedminutesfortheiragegroup
(RFU Regulation 15.14.1) of Rugby
o Noextratimeispermittedinanymatchexceptthataddedforinjury
time.
• Matches can be brought to an end if the try difference rises to more than 6.
• Each team is required to bring a referee.
• Team coaches will be responsible for checking their team’s studs, mouth
guards and protective clothing prior to play.
• Players must abide by RFU rules and any player sent off for foul or
dangerous play will not be allowed to take any further part in the tournament.
• Age groups U9-U12, MUST were a mouth guard during matches or they will
not be allowed to play
• In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Tournament Referee will be final.
• All participating Clubs/Coaches must take responsibility for the behaviour of
their supporters. Bad language, verbal abuse of referees or players will not be
tolerated.
• Any player that has been asked to leave the field of play by the referee will
take no further part in the festivals matches.
