City followed up their opening League victory over Erith Town, by bringing all three points back from Lordswood on the following Wednesday.
With all of the normal match day management team unavailable for the match, Ada Gower took charge and was assisted by Laurence Harvey. At times Lordswood trouble the City defence and Jack Delo had to be at his best to prevent them scoring. City won thanks to headers from Joe Kennett and Sam Conlon.
Laurence Harvey is now available for selection, having fully recovered from his injury sustained in April against Ashford United. Also, Gary Clarke has served his three game suspension, and is keen to get his season underway.
Billy Lewins, who showed some pre-season promise and scored against Leatherhead, has decided to return to Ramsgate, and we wish him well.
With no match last weekend, due to FA Cup matches and no rearranged League games, it has been surprisingly quiet, but we have a busy Bank Holiday weekend coming up.

Coming Up
On Saturday, the first team face Croydon away, in the League and I believe there is a full squad to chose from. Croydon are a much improved side and on Tuesday in the FA Cup replay, they played very well at Bostik South Faversham Town, before losing 2-1.
On Bank Holiday Monday, City are at home to our new landlords Deal Town at 3pm.
