Spring Chick 2017

The Raptors Women's team entered the Spring Chick tournament for the first time on Saturday 25th March 2017. They reached the semi-final, losing to the eventual tournament winners, stacked with NTL players and coached by a 5-time Women's Open World Cup winner. Good going, girls!

Round 1: 4-1 win against Wigan
Round 2: 7-1 win against Chippenham Cheetahs
Round 3: 5-2 win against Chester Cheetahs
Last 16: 3-2 win against Green & Gold
Quarter final: 6-5 win (after drop off) against Thames Valley Vikings.
Semi final: 1-5 down to Hot Custard.

Our most notable performer was Ffion Hewlett who dominated in defence.

The Women's team will be in action next in the first round of the Wales Touch Series on 8th April 2017.
